Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,245 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Newburgh, Indiana, starting October 12, 2026. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts as a travel employee.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Current NBRC certification.
• ACLS and BLS certification (PALS and NRP may be required in some areas).
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
