Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,195 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) position in Anchorage, Alaska. This is an immediate travel assignment lasting 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• One year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS and/or NRP may be required depending on the assignment.
• CRT and RRT credentials.
• Four years of experience (as noted in the posting).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Schedule

• 12‑hour night shifts.
