This position provides advanced respiratory care, pulmonary, and cardiology diagnostic testing to pediatric patients across various healthcare settings. The role involves performing patient assessments, operating and troubleshooting medical equipment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners.
• Apply and manage mechanical ventilators, recommend adjustments to improve clinical condition and patient comfort, and expedite weaning processes.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot durable medical equipment used in respiratory therapy.
• Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, assess patient response, and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
• May supervise staff and work in various healthcare settings providing respiratory care and diagnostic testing to pediatric patients.

Requirements

• Associate or technical degree.
• Proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current license as required by state law.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional related education or experience preferred.
