Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,023 per week

Charlottesville, Virginia — 13‑week travel assignment, night shift (3×12‑hour shifts, 36 hrs/wk). Start date: November 9, 2026.

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night‑shift position in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics‑RRT unit. The contract runs 13 weeks with one opening.

Schedule

• Night shift: 19:00 – 07:00, three 12‑hour shifts per week (36 hrs/wk; 48 hrs/wk possible)
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• RTO not approved around the Christmas holiday period

Requirements

• Active RRT certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 4 years of experience required; candidates with 2+ years will be considered
• ACCS certification preferred
• Valid Virginia license required; license pending accepted if candidate holds another active state license and can obtain a VA temporary license before start
• Epic EMR experience required for SRO Float Pool and Inpatient Units

Additional information

• Candidates must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler at this facility
• No radius rule in place for this position

Pay

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
