Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,841 per week

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Columbus, OH. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function
• Reports malfunctions to director
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines
• Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated
• Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience (posting also notes 2 years in requirements summary)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas
• RRT credential required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
