Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,502 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Davenport, Florida. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent acute‑care respiratory therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Current RRT credential (NBRC).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute‑care respiratory therapy experience (posting notes 1 year required, with a preference for 2 years).
• ACLS certification required; PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing, walking, lifting, vision) as described in responsibilities.
