About the role
This travel assignment requires a skilled RN to deliver coordinated nursing care in a hospital telemetry unit within a major acute care environment. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and supporting patient discharge planning. Experience with EPIC and Cerner is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the telemetry unit according to standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect, analyze, and document relevant health data; develop and execute an individualized care plan; coordinate care with the treatment team.
- Administer medications and monitor patient status, including rhythm assessment and response to therapies; respond to clinical changes and emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegate appropriately and supervise the activities of licensed and unlicensed staff as assigned; promote a safe, healing environment.
- Utilize EPIC and Cerner for accurate charting, orders, and patient education; provide clear handoffs at shift change.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the practicing state (California preferred).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in an acute care setting; acute care facility experience preferred.
- EMR: Recent EPIC and Cerner experience or proficiency.
- Ability to work in a hospital telemetry setting; comply with employer vaccination policy as required.
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,176-$2,312 per week | Guaranteed hours: 48 per week

Shift: 3x12-hour days | Duration: 8 weeks
