Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,101–$2,203 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Contract duration: several weeks (exact length to be determined) Shift: 3x12 Nights Start date: 09/21/2026 Facility/work setting: hospital Telemetry/Med-Surg Telemetry unit Housing resources available on request Orientation approximately 24 hours Pre-approved time off: 2 shifts 24/7 recruiter and travel support Responsibilities Monitor adults and geriatric patients on telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond to dysrhythmias Administer IV cardiac medications and manage some continuous infusions as ordered Provide stroke (CVA) recognition and initial management within stroke protocols Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Transport, and Unit Secretary to coordinate care Maintain accurate charting in Epic and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning Requirements Active New York RN license in hand with Nursys verification Certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIHSS can be obtained prior to start Experience: minimum 2 years nursing experience in the Telemetry/Med-Surg specialty; 1 year recent telemetry experience preferred Telemetry skills: rhythm interpretation and management of IV cardiac medications Education: RN credential required; Epic experience preferred Additional: Ability to float within the hospital as needed; flu vaccine or documented exemption required; COVID-19 vaccine not required Compliance: Relias EKG exam required within 72 hours after signing; onsite EKG/proctored exam with high accuracy; HealthStream modules must be completed by deadline prior to start Residency restrictions: local radius restrictions apply; travelers must not have been permanent staff at Albany Medical Center within the past year Benefits and Support Housing resources available on request Orientation (~24 hours) and pre-employment testing/onboarding support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Pre-approved time off within the assignment window Dedicated support throughout the assignment Find more opportunities If you’re interested in other openings from Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to explore additional travel nursing opportunities and apply.
