Travel Registered Nurse Post Surgical Job

Overview

This travel assignment starts on 08/17/2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,483 to $2,595 with 0.0 guaranteed hours. Shift is 5x8 Rotating. Work setting involves inpatient perioperative/postoperative care in an acute-care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for postoperative patients in an inpatient perioperative setting
• Maintain aseptic technique, infection control practices, and safe wound care and dressing changes
• Monitor patient status, including vital signs, pain levels, and wound/incision sites; respond to changes per protocol
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies; coordinate analgesia, antibiotics, and other orders with the care team
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient education in the electronic medical record; communicate updates to the team and families as appropriate
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and ancillary staff to implement postoperative care plans; support safe transfers and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active RN license (in good standing) for practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Postoperative or perioperative nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficient in documentation and handoffs
• Willingness to travel and commit to an 8-week travel assignment; ability to work a rotating shift
