About the role

This role is situated in an Adaptive Acuity Unit where the nurse may be required to provide Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care. Travel nurses must comply with requests to deliver PCU care at a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1, and this is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an Adaptive Acuity Unit.
  • Deliver PCU care as required with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer and manage drip therapies including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips.
  • Float to any inpatient unit within your scope of practice as necessary.
  • Supervise and guide junior nursing staff when serving as charge nurse.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of current med-surg/tele experience required.
  • Charge nurse experience is mandatory for this position.
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is strongly required.
  • Current Vermont RN license or Compact RN license must be provided.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Minimum of 3 months previous travel nursing experience is required.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
