About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide total nursing care for patients in a Med Surg Rehab setting. This role may also involve acting as a backup Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care and ensure the highest standards of nursing practice are maintained. The nurse will participate in patient and family education and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide total nursing care for patients in a Med Surg Rehab setting.
  • Act as a Charge Nurse as needed, coordinating nursing care delivery.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching initiatives.
  • Collaborate with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
  • Maintain professional standards for nursing practice.
  • Floated to any unit within the scope of practice as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience.
  • Charge RN experience is required.
  • Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Vermont RN License or Compact License.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a guaranteed schedule of 36 hours per week.
