About the role
This travel/temporary assignment begins on 08/31/2026 for a 13-week contract in a hospital setting. The role requires a current nursing license per state requirements and the ability to float to other departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a med-surg unit, delivering safe, evidence-based care
- Monitor patient condition, assess vitals, administer medications and treatments per orders
- Document care in the electronic medical record; knowledge of Meditech is helpful but not required
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; float to other departments in rotation as needed
- Support discharge planning and patient education to improve outcomes
- Respond quickly to clinical changes, escalating concerns to the care team as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or multi-state license; verification steps may include approved 6-hour suicide training and Nursys demographics verification
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Willingness to float to other departments in rotation
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and during 3x12-hour night shifts
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred; familiarity with electronic documentation is advantageous
Pay
Weekly pay range is $2,077–$2,111 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
Schedule
Shift is 3x12-hour nights (1845–0715). The assignment includes every other weekend off and the option to pick up extra shifts.
