Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery, Helena, Montana, United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring, interpret findings, and respond per protocol; communicate with the obstetric team.
• Assist with obstetric procedures and provide OR circulator coverage as needed; maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
• Administer medications and support labor management, including analgesia, fluid management, and postpartum care.
• Document care in the EMR (Epic) and maintain accurate, timely patient charts.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient education, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
• May float to medical-surgical units, ICU, or ER to assist with overflow or provide sitter support for stable adult patients.

Requirements

• Active Montana RN license or compact license on file at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of like experience in obstetric or labor/delivery settings.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN fetal heart monitoring required.
• OB experience with OR circulator duties required.
• EMR experience (Epic) required.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and float to other units as needed during the assignment.

About the Role

Contract duration: 13 weeks
Start date: 08/02/2026
Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night (2x3 rotating)
Setting: hospital labor and delivery unit.

Pay

Weekly pay: $2,317–$2,467 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
