Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Hanford, California.

Start date: 08/17/2026.

Duration: 8 weeks.

Weekly pay: $2,643–$2,817 per week.

Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week).

This travel assignment is in a hospital setting and focuses on delivering coordinated obstetric nursing care in the L&D unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
• Monitor labor progress, assist with deliveries, and provide postpartum and neonatal care as appropriate; administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per orders.
• Document care accurately and timely; maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy; ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with obstetric team, anesthesia, respiratory care, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the care plan, newborn care basics, pain management options, and post-partum instructions.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work Days shift on a 12-hour schedule (3 days per week), totaling ~36 hours.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment and to complete required credentialing and health screenings.
