Overview

Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology in Los Angeles, CA, starting 08/17/2026 for a 7-week travel assignment in a Home Healthcare – Hospice setting. Weekly pay range is $2,530 to $2,662, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days. This temporary travel position supports specialty procedures and patient care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, evaluate, and coordinate the care plan for patients in the Special Procedures area, providing direct and indirect nursing care aligned with organization policies and mission
  • Collect pertinent data, analyze assessments, and develop and implement plans to achieve clinical outcomes; continually reevaluate progress and adjust as needed
  • Connect electrocardiogram (EKG) leads, monitor hemodynamic parameters, and alert the physician to any clinically significant changes; document findings and ensure timely communication
  • Operate advanced monitoring and procedural equipment (MIDAS system, IABP, Cardiac Output devices, ACT machines, oximetry systems, injector devices, defibrillator, and imaging/diagnostic systems) and report significant data to the care team
  • Participate in pre-op and post-op care, support continuous patient safety, and float to the CV holding area as needed; follow call schedules and after-hours coverage as required
  • Maintain scrub skills and ensure compliance with safety policies; scrub onsite as assigned and coordinate with the team for efficient procedural flow

Requirements

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California required)
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; HLFS (Hospital Fire and Life Safety) required
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization lab/special procedures, critical care, or medical-surgical settings
  • Specialty requirements: Impella experience is required
  • Education: BSN preferred
  • Other: Ability to work in a travel, temporary assignment within a home healthcare – hospice setting; on-call and after-hours scheduling will be part of the role; EKG certification is preferred but not mandatory
