Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Overview
A registered nurse position is available in the emergency department (ED) of a critical access hospital in Fort Bragg, California. The assignment is a travel/temporary role starting on August 3, 2026, lasting 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,692 to $1,812, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The shift is a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 3x12 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED, including rapid assessments, triage, monitoring, and treatment of diverse emergent conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, analgesia, antibiotics, and monitor for adverse effects; adjust plans per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to implement patient care plans and ensure timely interventions
- Perform skilled nursing tasks such as vital signs, ECG monitoring, wound care, IV management, and escalate to medical staff as needed
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, document in the electronic health record, and comply with handoffs during shift changes
- Provide patient and family education, support discharge planning, and coordinate referrals as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum of two years of recent ER experience
- Graduate from an approved nursing program; eligible for RN licensure in CA
