Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Start date: 09/14/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in Sonora, CA.

About the role

Support an emergency/trauma care team within an acute care setting, delivering triage, treatment, and ongoing patient care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and initial patient assessments for emergency department patients, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Provide stabilization and treatment for trauma and non-trauma emergencies across all ages
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards

Requirements

• Active RN license in California
• ER or acute care experience preferred; strong assessment and prioritization skills required for fast-paced emergencies
• BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS recommended based on department needs
• Ability to work 3x12-hour daytime shifts and adapt to rapid changes in patient status
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams and obtain credentialing in a timely manner

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,065 to $2,266.
