Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Overview
A registered nurse (RN) travel assignment in Greensburg, KS, starting August 17, 2026, for 13 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for ER and med-surg patients during night shifts
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, triage, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and IV therapies; assist with procedures; respond to emergencies using standard protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and ancillary staff; coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in Cerner; ensure patient safety and infection control compliance
- Participate in unit-based protocols and quality improvement activities
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or eligibility for multi-state licensure
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in ER and/or Med-Surg
- Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work 6:00 pm–6:00 am, 3x12-hour nights; every other weekend and every other holiday
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to adapt to a rural critical access setting
