Overview

A registered nurse (RN) travel assignment in Greensburg, KS, starting August 17, 2026, for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for ER and med-surg patients during night shifts
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, triage, monitoring, and documentation
  • Administer medications and IV therapies; assist with procedures; respond to emergencies using standard protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and ancillary staff; coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records in Cerner; ensure patient safety and infection control compliance
  • Participate in unit-based protocols and quality improvement activities

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Kansas or eligibility for multi-state licensure
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in ER and/or Med-Surg
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Ability to work 6:00 pm–6:00 am, 3x12-hour nights; every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to adapt to a rural critical access setting

Qualifications
