Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse — ER specialty at a rural Critical Access Hospital in Hondo, Texas. The contract begins 11/09/2026 and runs for a duration measured in weeks. The facility is a smaller acute-care hospital with strong community ties.

Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12‑hour shifts)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Pay

• Weekly pay range: $1,893 – $1,987

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage ED patients, initiating initial treatment plans and prioritizing care based on acuity
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and provide treatments within scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate efficient patient flow
• Document observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety considerations; coordinate transfers when needed

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in the United States (state‑specific licensure applicable to this assignment)
• ER nursing experience preferred; strong ability to manage high‑acuity, fast‑paced situations
• Ability to work a 12‑hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) in a travel assignment environment
• BLS required; ACLS preferred to support advanced life support needs in the ED
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills; comfort working in a rural, small‑community hospital setting
