Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Travel assignment for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Columbia, MO, starting 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks.

About the Role

This role supports a fast-paced adult Emergency Department with a mix of high-acuity presentations and a steady admission flow in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adult ED patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
• Lead care for time-sensitive presentations and support high admission rates with efficient triage and throughput.
• Perform and interpret 12-lead ECGs, assist with tele-interpretation and cardioversion/defibrillation as clinically indicated.
• Manage airway and ventilatory support, including CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and tracheostomy care as required.
• Establish and maintain IV access and line management.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
• Strong ED clinical skills with the ability to support a high-admission environment.
• Proficiency in 12-lead ECG interpretation, telemetry interpretation, and basic cardioversion/defibrillation.
• Airway management skills including CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and airway support procedures.
• Ability to function effectively in an adult emergency care setting and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,007 to $2,079.

Schedule

• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• Shift pattern: 5x8 days.
