Registered Nurse - CVICU, travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay between $2,906 and $2,940. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: hospital-based critical care unit supporting cardiovascular and intensive care patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, coordination, and delivery of nursing care for critically ill patients in CVICU
• Monitor patients with multi-system involvement, including those requiring ventilation, neuro/trauma care, respiratory support, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Manage ventilated patients and invasive monitoring, including vasoactive therapies as appropriate to unit protocols
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel consistent with scope of practice
• Respond promptly to clinical changes and emergencies, maintain infection control and patient safety standards
• Communicate clearly with families, physicians, and other caregivers to support patient-centered care

Requirements

• Active California RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• ICU/CVICU experience preferred
• Ability to work the 3x12-night shift schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfort delivering care in a high-acuity critical care environment
