About the role
The Labor and Delivery / OBED unit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join their team for a peak period assignment. This rapid response position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care in a high-risk environment. Nurses will work in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with a talented team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and babies.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for high-risk obstetric patients in a labor and delivery setting.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal well-being using intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
- Administer medications including magnesium and insulin drips.
- Assist in both circulating and scrubbing roles during surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems (CPN/Meditech).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of travel experience in high-risk OB/L&D.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Intermediate), AWHONN.
- Experience in an OBED setting and familiarity with high-volume cases are preferred.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week contract position.
