Travel assignment for a Radiology Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) in Olympia, Washington.
About the role
This is a 13-week travel contract at Providence St. Peter Hospital, a 325-bed short-term acute-care facility. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) on a day shift (0630–1700, 4×10-hour days). On-call duty is required: one call day per week plus one weekend every 5–6 weeks. Travelers must commit to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
Responsibilities
- Perform all diagnostic cardiac-catheterization procedures, including PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO)
- Assist with structural-heart interventions (TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, Watchman)
- Support electrophysiology studies (EPS, atrial-fibrillation/flutter ablations, biventricular and pacemaker implants)
- Scrub and circulate in the cath lab, maintaining a sterile field
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment (rotablator, Impella, IABP, etc.)
- Perform right- and left-heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and thrombectomy/thrombolysis
- Insert and program temporary and permanent pacemakers, AICDs, and left-atrial-appendage closure devices
- Document procedures in Epic charting system
- Float to sister Providence facilities as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Active ARRT-R (Radiography) or CCI RCIS credential
- Active Washington RT or CIS license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- ARRT or RCIS—only one is required, not both
- No pending licenses; no RTO (requested time off) restrictions that exceed 7 days per contract
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates ineligible for travel pay)
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
- Must disclose any prior employment (permanent, travel, or per-diem) at any Providence facility
