Start Date: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks | 40 hours per week | Shift: 10 hours, days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of Cath Lab diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural interventions
- Manage a daily caseload of 8–10 cases per technologist
- Take call on a rotating basis (weekend call starts Friday 7 PM through Monday 7 AM; 30-minute response time)
- Float within scope to meet facility needs if required, though assignment will primarily remain in the Cath Lab
- Chart in Cerner system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting
- Competency in all Cath Lab diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural interventions
- ARRT registration and active West Virginia state license (pending license accepted for submission, but active WV license required to start)
- RCIS credential does not qualify for licensure in West Virginia Cath Lab
- No first-time travelers; prior travel experience not required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Submission Process
- Full file due by noon Monday prior to start date; incomplete documentation will delay start by 2 weeks
- Orientation held every other Thursday
- SSN and DOB required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (applies to submission process)
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 100 miles from the facility (75–99 miles considered case-by-case at same rate)
- Two manager or charge-nurse references from the past 2 years required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if unit-required) must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler
- Current or former Vandalia Health System employees (permanent, PRN, etc.) are ineligible for travel contracts within the system (includes CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System)
