Responsibilities
- Operate ionizing imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated body regions as ordered by a licensed physician
- Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality and obtain the optimum information for each exam
- Adhere to established departmental procedures, safety guidelines, and radiation protection protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and with an interdisciplinary health care team; respond to emergent situations as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, label and process images, and support quality assurance activities
- Ensure patient safety, proper shielding, and compliance with ARRT and state regulations
Requirements
- Active Montana Radiologic Technologist License with the Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists
- ARRT Certification active and in good standing
- Graduation from an accredited 24-month Radiologic Technology program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Evidence of compliance with ARRT continuing education requirements
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department and collaborate with clinical staff
