About the role

A Radiation Therapist administers radiation treatments to cancer patients under the supervision of oncologists. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating radiation equipment, and monitoring treatment progress.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiation therapy sessions
• Operates radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
• Maintains records of patient treatments and progress
• Monitors patient responses to treatment and reports any issues to medical staff

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in North Carolina
• Experience in radiation therapy, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Passing scores on relevant certification exams

• Proficiency with radiation therapy equipment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal skills

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, days, with a start date of August 3, 2026.
