Travel PT Home Health - $2,846 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with recent home health experience for a 13-week day shift contract in Newport News, VA. This is a travel position with a 40-hour work week, consisting of 5 eight-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

Productivity expectation is 6 points per day or 30 points per week. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate. Floating to other locations may be requested based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide home health physical therapy services in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
• Complete OASIS documentation accurately and timely.
• Meet productivity expectations of 6 points per day or 30 points per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent home health physical therapy experience.
• Experience with OASIS documentation.
• ACLS certification (must be through AHA).
• BLS certification (must be through AHA).
• Active VA state license; compact license proof accepted if applicable.
• SSN and a copy of driver’s license required for consideration.
• One supervisory reference required.
• All specialty experience must be within the last year.

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Prior permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible.
• Candidates cannot simultaneously hold a travel assignment and a per diem contract with Riverside Health—one must be chosen.
• RTO (Requested Time Off) should be kept to a minimum: no full calendar weeks off and no more than 7 days total RTO during the assignment.
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial application; no additional RTO will be approved after an offer is extended.
• All managers conduct a call interview; candidates should be prepared and familiar with the job description.
