Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,795 per week

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position based in Atlantic City, New Jersey involves delivering high-quality patient care by following established care plans and supervising ancillary staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, forming the basis of an individualized care plan.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Participates in the patient rehabilitation program and provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicates patient status changes effectively to support continuity of care and safety.
• Provides supervision and direction to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating appropriately.
• Maintains safety in all aspects in alignment with hospital and nursing policies.
• Demonstrates professionalism in communication and teamwork, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Affords charge responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains current certifications.
