Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,155 per week

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) supports the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed and completed in accordance with applicable standards. The RN provides patient assessments, supports individualized planning of care, and supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required prior to first shift, for specified unit requirements only)
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience

Additional Information

• Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to form the basis of an individualized plan of care.
• Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Provides direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, delegates appropriately, and supports continuity of care through timely communication regarding changes in patient status.
• Assumes charge responsibility following the orientation period as requested.
• Maintains documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient response in the medical record in accordance with policy.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
