Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position is available in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This role involves providing patient care in a step-down level of care setting for cardiology, electrophysiology (EP), and cardiac surgical patients.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid NH Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact License with proof of state residency
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • A minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience in adult medical-surgical or step-down nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with post-surgical care including chest tubes, drains, and lines
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Invasive arterial blood pressure monitoring
  • Handling vasoactive medications
  • Caring for complex wounds, external pacers, epicardial wires, and other specialized procedures

Additional Information

The facility is a step-down unit with a patient census of 48 beds, focusing on cardiology and thoracic surgical care. The RN will care for patients with various cardiac conditions, including heart failure, post-operative cardiac surgery, and vascular issues. Responsibilities include managing post-surgical tubes, lines, drips such as Diltiazem, Heparin, Lasix, insulin, Amiodarone, and blood draws. The role requires adherence to facility policies, SOPs, and patient safety standards, with a focus on delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
