Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Davenport, Iowa. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
- Develop individualized care plans
- Document all assessments and interventions accurately
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs
- Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission
- Provide patient and family education
- Communicate changes in patient status effectively
- Delegate appropriately and maintain a safe environment
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation
- Actively pursue professional development
- Contribute to a positive work environment through team building and effective communication
Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Minimum of two (2) years bedside critical care clinical experience
- Current licensure as an RN
- Ability to provide care in accordance with population parity and established standards
- Float rotation may be required
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, days
- 36 hours per week
- 13 weeks duration
- Start date: 08/24/2026
