Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position in Lewes, DE involves providing patient care at an acute care facility, focusing on stepdown and intermediate levels of care. The assigned shift is nights, with scheduled hours of 12 per shift, and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The position offers the opportunity to work on a 13-week contract basis.

Job Details

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar clinical setting
• Driver's license for license submission

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with arterial lines, chest tubes, post-cardiac cath care
• Proficiency with medications such as insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, cardene, and neosynephrine

Additional Information

• Unit notes indicate that the PCU is scheduled for every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and every other holiday
• Staff may be floated to Medical-Surgical (MS) or Medical-Surgical Telemetry units, with a patient ratio of 1:4 across a 12-bed unit
• No on-call requirements are associated with this position
• The facility uses the EPIC charting system
• The timeline for cancellation policy is 36 hours prior to the start of the contract

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
