About the role
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) night shift, 36 hours per week starting 09/21/2026. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients within a specialized hospital setting, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The RN will supervise licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees, while fostering a safe and patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
- Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Develops individualized care plans and collaborates with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
- Documents thoroughly in compliance with policies and participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.
- Provides direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
- Assumes charge responsibility following orientation.
- Maintains communication with management about supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs.
- Actively seeks professional growth and participates in team-building activities to promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift.
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift.
- At least 2 years of bedside clinical experience.
- ICU experience.
- Valid license in the state of practice.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week.
