ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hermitage, Tennessee. Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit. Discipline: RN. Start Date: ASAP. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts.

The PCU Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit, working closely with a skilled team to ensure optimal recovery and patient experience. This role requires proficiency in various critical care techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and manage patient needs effectively.
• Administer cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips alongside EKG rhythm interpretation.
• Perform procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertions.
• Ensure accurate documentation through the Meditech system.
• Engage in hourly rounding on days and every two hours on nights while employing AIDET principles.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid registered nursing license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with critical care equipment such as bipaps, high flow oxygen, and wound vacs preferred.
• Prior experience with peritoneal dialysis and peripheral IV skills preferred.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
