About the role
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role involves delivering quality patient care, supervising clinical staff, and supporting patient safety initiatives. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols and active participation in patient assessments and discharge planning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
- Perform nursing assessments, documentation, and patient education
- Perform comprehensive assessments within eight hours of admission
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Participate in discharge planning and patient teaching
- Supervise ancillary nursing staff and ensure safety procedures
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required prior to the first shift
- Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Schedule
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift
- 36 hours per week
