Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $1,955 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility dedicated to providing specialized inpatient care. Role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, supervising healthcare assistants and orientees, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Start date: 10/05/2026 (alternative start 09/07/2026). Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 12‑hour nights, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
• Participates in patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from day one of admission
• Consistently documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely
• Seeks consultation from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decisions
• Participates in team activities to foster a positive work environment
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation
• Actively pursues professional development opportunities
• Maintains effective communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical needs

Requirements

• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift
• Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience in settings such as stepdown, intensive care unit (ICU), or long-term acute care (LTAC)

Qualifications

• Experience working specifically within progressive care or stepdown units (preferred)
