The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care by following individualized care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort within a fast-paced clinical environment. Job Details Qualifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience. Specialty: Progressing Care Unit (PCU). Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission and creates an individualized plan of care. Provides patient information and status updates for initial and re-evaluation team conferences. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in accordance with policy. Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on patient and family education. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient teaching to prepare for discharge. Communicates all pertinent changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and seeks support from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decision-making. Supervises, trains, and delegates tasks to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of care. Ensures personal and environmental safety according to hospital and nursing policies. Maintains effective communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation, as requested. Engages in continuous professional development through ongoing education and self-study. Prioritizes activities and plans effectively to meet patient needs. Performs additional duties as assigned. Float: Float rotation may be required.
