Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $1,675 per week

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Albuquerque, New Mexico will provide high-quality patient care within a 55-bed unit specializing in cardiovascular and adult geriatrics patient populations. The role requires clinical expertise in cardiovascular monitoring and related procedures, with a focus on patient safety and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred
• Education Requirements: No specific degree required, but minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting preferred
• Location Requirements: Must be within 50 miles of Albuquerque, NM, with local candidates not accepted for travel assignments
• Years of Experience: 0.0 (minimum), 2 years preferred
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with rotating weekend coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS, BLS certifications and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular patient care experience
• Specific skills include cardiac telemetry, central line management, chest tubes, wound care, management of dysrhythmias, and other advanced patient management procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and a background in cardiovascular services and telemetry monitoring

Additional Information

• Floating to similar units may be required
• Brief orientation provided
• Labs are to be completed within 48 business hours once contract is signed
