Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $1,763 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Start date: ASAP; Duration: 13 weeks; Employment type: Travel. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) delivers highly individualized care to medical, cardiac, and surgical complex patients requiring intermediate care. This includes handling cases such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, and more. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cardiac telemetry and possess critical care knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Q6H head-to-toe assessments and document findings thoroughly.
• Administer intravenous medication and manage gtt titration, including Dopamine, Dobutrex, and others.
• Perform procedures including Foley placement, IV insertion, EKGs, and wound vac management.
• Provide early patient mobility and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Requirements

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. Cardiac/telemetry experience and PCU or critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

Advanced skills in IV insertion, chest tube management, and EKG interpretation.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency; ask your ARMStaffing recruiter for details.

Schedule

Shift: 12 hours, nights; Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; 36 hours per week.
