Responsibilities
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, renal failure, stroke, pneumonia, wounds, and alcohol-related conditions.
- Work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-5.
- Float to Telemetry or MedSurg units with ratios of 1:6-7 as needed.
- Utilize skills in BIPAP, nurse-driven diuretic protocols, peritoneal dialysis, and IV Glucommander.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with PCU experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- At least 18 months of PCU or Stepdown experience within the last 3 years
- Active RN license
- Certifications: BLS-AHA; ACLS-AHA; CERT-NIH Stroke Scale
- Availability for holidays and weekends
- Willingness to float
- Scrub Colors: Navy Blue
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) recommended
