About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Florence, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Educates and assists new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post partum period.
- Cares for both moms and their newborns after delivery.
- Makes sure proper recovery for mothers by monitoring them.
- Recognizes and teaches new moms how to address postpartum depression.
- Teaches new parents on how to care for, bathe, breastfeed, or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor their health.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
Qualifications
Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.
Skills
Nursing skills relevant to labor and delivery, including postpartum care and infant care.
