Role Overview
Assist patients in a skilled nursing facility recovering from injuries or illnesses to improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Follow care plans and document patient progress in electronic medical records.
- Support restorative nursing programs, falls prevention, and mobility techniques.
- Contribute to patient recovery and functional improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Kansas PTA license or equivalent State license.
- BLS certification (may be required).
- Preferred experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of restorative programs, transfers, and ambulation techniques.
