Responsibilities

• Aid the supervising physical therapist with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and therapeutic exercise programs
• Implement and monitor progress of plans of care, providing gait training, ROM, strength, and functional mobility activities
• Apply modalities and use equipment safely; ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions
• Document patient responses, progress notes, and any changes to treatment plans in the chart
• Communicate effectively with the PT, nursing staff, and other team members; participate in care coordination and discharge planning
• Provide patient and caregiver education on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and activity modification

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy Assistant experience
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics, stroke rehabilitation, and pediatric sports medicine is preferred
• Ability to work the specified schedule (Mon–Thu 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.)
• Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment, with flexibility to adapt to a skilled nursing/outpatient swing bed setting
