American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 26-week travel assignment in a remote Alaska location providing both outpatient and inpatient PT care across all age ranges and diagnoses.
Details
Full-time outpatient and inpatient physical therapy setting
Hospital-based setting includes hi-lo table, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation modalities
Village-based visits may also be required, where therapists bring their own equipment such as therabands and exercise programs
Patient population spans all age ranges and diagnoses within Alaska's PT scope of practice
Monday through Friday day shift schedule
26-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of PT experience required; hospital-based experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Active Alaska PT license required, or FSBPT paperwork completed to practice post-graduation while pursuing licensure
- Current BLS certification required
- Licenses required if applicable
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those for whom English is not a first language
- Proficiency with MS Office and ability to access online medical literature
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Benefits
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
