About the Role
A skilled Physical Therapist (PT) is needed for a travel assignment, responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical conditions through tests, examinations, and history.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation plans based on assessments and patient goals.
- Implement treatment techniques to promote mobility and pain relief.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment safely.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and self-management.
- Maintain a safe, compliant treatment environment and participate in quality initiatives.
- Assist in discharge planning and perform additional duties within scope of practice.
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapy license and current BLS certification.
- Strong clinical, communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical abilities to move, push, pull, and bend.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English, with PC skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel and handle high-pressure situations.
- Visual acuity and sensory communication skills.
