About the role
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, utilize various techniques and equipment, and assess patient progress.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, they educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and self-management. Maintaining a safe environment and adhering to regulatory standards is essential, along with participating in quality assurance and professional development. They also assist in discharge planning and perform additional duties within scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life
- Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Utilize various techniques and equipment to assess and treat patients
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and self-management
- Maintain a safe and compliant environment, adhering to regulatory standards
- Participate in quality assurance and professional development activities
- Assist in discharge planning
- Perform additional duties within the scope of practice
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapy license per state regulations
- Current BLS certification
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and basic PC skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with diverse personnel
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills
