Aya Healthcare offers a travel physical therapy position in an outpatient rehabilitation setting in Nashua, NH.

About the role

Aya Healthcare connects therapists with assignments that match their career goals, whether locally or across the country. This 13-week assignment features a day shift with a schedule of five 8-hour days (07:00–15:30) and uses the Epic charting system. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with orthopedic and spinal conditions, including ankle sprains, knee injuries, hip fractures, degenerative disc/joint disease, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, and post-operative cases (cervical, shoulder, spinal, total hip/knee replacements).
  • Perform range-of-motion exercises (AROM/AAROM/PROM), extremity and spinal mobilization, gait training, and strength testing.
  • Apply modalities such as cryotherapy, E-stim, traction (cervical/lumbar), and taping.
  • Fit and instruct patients in the use of assistive devices (crutches, walkers, gait belts, shoulder slings, soft/hard collars).
  • Develop and monitor home exercise programs, short- and long-term goals, and discharge plans.
  • Educate patients and families on body mechanics, breathing techniques, safety/injury prevention, and environmental barriers.
  • Monitor vital signs, skin integrity, sensory responses, and signs of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse.
  • Manage time effectively, reassess patients, and update plans of care.
  • Work with diverse payer sources, including Medicare A/B, Medicaid, Workers’ Compensation, commercial insurance, and private pay.

Requirements

  • Active BLS certification.
  • Experience or willingness to work with geriatric and sports-medicine populations in an outpatient clinic.
