Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine physical therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Implement PT interventions using appropriate, evidence-based techniques; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
- Serve as a co-leader in interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries within established deadlines
- Supervise assigned therapy assistants and ensure safe, compliant delegation of tasks
- Communicate patient status, progress, and discharge needs with patients, families, and the care team
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Active Physical Therapy licensure in California (or applicable state(s) of practice); eligibility as required
- CPR certification (BLS or equivalent) required
- Minimum two years of recent experience in the field
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive; age 21+
- Vaccination requirements per organizational policy; exemptions may apply
Benefits and Support
- Weekly pay range: $2,009–$2,151 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:00)
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (travel assignment)
