Travel Physical Therapist Assistant - SNF - $1,550 per week

About the role

A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position is available in a long‑term care or skilled nursing facility in Woodway, Texas. The PTA provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role emphasizes evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual techniques, ambulation assistance, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive devices.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Communicate patient status and progress with supervising Physical Therapists.
• Document all clinical activities in accordance with documentation and compliance standards.
• Contribute to discharge planning.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and conferences.

Requirements

• Valid PTA license and active state licensure in Texas.
• At least 1 year of PTA experience, including long‑term care or rehabilitation experience.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences.
• Adherence to professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
• Participation in required documentation and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting students under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation systems.
• Ability to assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.

Schedule

Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
