Travel Physical Therapist - Adult Outpatient - $3,413 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an adult outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Juneau, Alaska. The role requires an active Alaska PT license and at least one year of relevant experience.

Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, with a 40-hour workweek consisting of four 10-hour shifts. A 30-minute to 1-hour unpaid lunch break is included.

Responsibilities

• Provide general physical therapy evaluations and treatments to adult patients with varying diagnoses to improve functional abilities.
• Oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated support staff.
• Formulate and implement individualized therapy treatment plans with goals, modifying based on patient response.
• Review clinical records, attend care conferences, and collaborate with referring providers and healthcare team members.
• Document patient encounters, treatments, and progress according to facility policies.
• Develop patient/family education programs and home exercise plans, ensuring understanding through feedback and demonstration.
• Assist with the acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment based on patient needs.
• Maintain clinical space cleanliness and manage supply and equipment stock levels.
• Adhere to APTA regulatory and practice standards.

Requirements

• Active Alaska PT license required at time of submission.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Entry-level qualifying master’s or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or bachelor’s/master’s degree with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience equivalent to doctorate-level knowledge.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehabilitation.
• Flu vaccination required.
• Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for the traveler rate.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. No housing or flight accommodations are provided; the rate is all-inclusive.

• 13-week assignment starting September 22, 2026.
• 40 hours per week, 4x10-hour day shifts.
